Announcing the 2027 ABCD-ReproNim Hackathon – Applications due by October 1, 2026
      Join us for collaborative ABCD analyses in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida, April 5-9, 2027
ABCD-ReproNim is pleased to announce a four-day hackathon, designed to promote collaborative analyses of ABCD data using reproducible and responsible methods. ABCD-ReproNim aims to equip researchers with the tools to improve their data science and computational method repertoire.
The ABCD-ReproNim Hackathon<https://abcd-repronim.github.io/ABCDReproNim-Hackathon-2027/> will allow attendees to have open time to work in interdisciplinary teams on projects that utilize computational techniques to solve problems of interest to the broader ABCD community.
Dates: April 5-9, 2027

Who: We are inviting researchers with interests in the ABCD Study to attend this event and contribute to ABCD data analysis projects. Collaborative analysis teams will include individuals with a range of skills, from novice trainees to expert data analysts. Students, postdoctoral fellows, staff, and faculty are all invited to apply.

Cost: There is no charge for this event. Individuals interested in attending should submit an application. If selected, we will provide a participation stipend that you may use to purchase your airfare, dinner, and incidentals. The ABCD-ReproNim team will handle hotel costs and provide onsite breakfast and lunch.

Eligibility: Due to funding restrictions, the ABCD-ReproNim Hackathon welcomes applications from U.S. residents, including U.S. citizens and individuals holding B-1, B-2, J-1, or Visa Waiver (VWT/VWB) status.

Workshop: “Neuroimaging, Reproducibility and LLMs: Early promises and future questions”

The objective of this in-person workshop is to introduce the technology and train neuroscience / neuroimaging researchers on the potential of Large Language Models in brain imaging research. To achieve this, we will show and discuss key directions for which LLMs have - and will have - a fundamental impact, review and contrast research project examples, introduce latest techniques, and discuss potential limitations and risks associated with this transformative technology.

Speakers will include: JB Poline (McGill), David Kennedy (UMassMed), Brent McPherson (McGill), Michelle Wang (McGill), Yaroslav Halchenko (Dartmouth), Johanna Bayer (McGill), and Satra Ghosh (MIT).
