UAB Epilepsy Center Yes University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) NITRC High Resolution Multiple Image Co-Registration and Averaging (HR-MICRA) This is a dataset of high resolution T2w 3D volumes of healthy control brain images created using the High Resolution Multiple Image Co-Registration and Averaging (HR-MICRA) approach. The goal of this project was to develop an imaging approach that demonstrates hippocampal internal architecture clearly and consistently in virtually all slices. A variable flip angle turbo spin echo sequence (BrainView) was used to acquire high resolution 3D volumes with a resolution of 0.5 mm in the coronal plane and 0.75 mm slice thickness in the A-P direction. The sequence parameters were tailored to acquire a single high-resolution 3D volume in a reasonable amount of time (~ 6 minutes) with good gray-white contrast at the expense of SNR.
