Detailed description |
Hi,
Is there a way to make the medial/subcortical view a little more
presentable? The default seems a little hard to make it. Can it be
smoothed?

Not sure what your definition of presentable or hard is. Can you
upload an example. If you want a 'smoothed' medial view I would do
this:
1.) Drag and drop the "BrainMesh_ICBM152Left_smoothed.mz3"
onto surifce
2.) Choose Display/Right menu item to show the medial view
3.) [opetional] choose your overlay volume or mesh (for the
image attached I selected the "motor_4t95vol.nii.gz" and set the
overlay threshold (for image below I selected 1..2).
To show the medial view of the right hemisphere just load the
"BrainMesh_ICBM152Right_smoothed.mz3" and choose Display/Left
You may prefer MRIcroGL's volume rendering to SurfIce's
surface rendering - they are suited to different tasks and do have
a different look. In particular, showing subcortical structures is
often a good task for a volume renderer.
