| Detailed description |
A very useful feature would be
the capability to delete a specific color. V3D does this with
primary colors, but not with secondary, tertiary, etc. colors. The
color to be deleted could be "registered" by clicking on the spot
containing that color. After processing the color, nearby pixels of
that approximate color would be deleted. The program would have to
be sufficiently sophisticated to accommodate shifts in color due to
ramping. These shifts can be quite dramatic through the depth of a
sample, so the program would have to recognize transitions along a
path initiated by a single point and adjust its deletion criteria
according to these color shifts. This capability would enable the
user to simplify a complex image by removing "clutter," or
irrelevant data.
