The entries of the "Recent Activity" section on project pages show partially incorrect user attribution. See for example the current

My guess is that for file downloads the user who created a release is listed, not the user who uploaded a particular file.

Similarly, it seems for bug tracker activity the user who created the bug is listed for all further posts, not the user that posted the most recent activity.

We cleaned up the history gathering a bit so reports on forum, tracker, wiki, and news activity reflect the person making the last change, not the item creator. There were also duplicate history reports in certain cases; we fixed that as well.

As far as downloads go, we only associate a user with a release, not a package or file, so currently we can only credit the release creator. Will this be a problem moving forward, or can we list this as a known bug for now?

A fix is scheduled for the end of February.
