I fixed this using
distance-based decision:
1. computer distance "dist" between two end points to be
connected
2. find a control point inside each curve, where the distance from
that point to end point is firstly larger than 3*dist
3. get two vectors based on new found points
4. use the previous solution to decide the connection.
It works now and need to be given more comments.
