install-nitrc-ce.sh fails on bare Ubuntu 12.04

Detailed description

install-nitrc-ce.sh failed on a bare Ubuntu 12.04.  aptitude and openssh-server needed to be installed first.

Also, install-nitrc-ce.sh failed silently.  It would be useful to have it point to the install log when you run it.
