Hi,

my group has started using slack.com for almost all matters related to lab-communication. One very useful feature is that slack.com integrates with several third party services like github or google hangout. One thing we are missing is a way to get updates on posts in our nitrc project forum which we use for support requests. I was wondering if you have plans or are interested in providing a slack.com integration for groups in a similar situation. For reference, this is the slack api site: https://api.slack.com/.

We can set up Slack (or other) SVN hooks as needed; please contact moderator@nitrc.org to set this up. (I will contact you, CBICA Software, for your cases.)

Can you give any more details on the custom SVN hooks for Slack integration?

We've used these hooks in the past and it would be very helpful to have the on our NITRC repos.

We can supply the Slack channel name and authorization token for 2 of our projects. Do you need anything else in order to set up the integration?

We now export forums through RSS feeds, so you can pull your support forum.

We've also installed custom SVN hooks for Slack integration if that helps your projects.  In any case, do let me know if there are other ways we can help integrate with Slack.

We haven't looked into slack.com (yet!).  I've opened an internal ticket for this and we'll take a look, and in doing so we may come back for more details from you.
