1.) You Ubuntu problem sounds the same as what was reported on
the MRIcro jiscmail mailing list, which was resolved by having the
user update their graphics drivers. If this fails you will want to
post the results from these commands "lsb_release -a" and "uname
-a", I list examples at the bottom of this post.
2.) I have run this software on many OSX computers, with OSX 10.7
and later. However, it does require a reasonable discrete GPU or
integrated graphics card. The bottom end GPU I have tried is the
2010 MacBook NVidia 320. It works really well on Haswell or later
OSX computers. If you want more help I need more details on your
comptuer, which you can get by creating a text file with the
terminal command "system_profiler > test.txt" and then copying
the "Graphics/Displays" section I show below. Make sure you
download the "OSX.zip" file for your Mac.
3.) The downloads include two versions of my software. The "Old"
version only requires OpenGL 2.1, while regular version requires
OpenGL 3.3 CORE. If your computer can support it, the latter is
better.
