Whether that UID is for the subject or the user of the software, there is no
explicit field for it in NIfTI.  Such information might fit into a GIfTI header
(surface data format), but the NIfTI format is pretty tight, being based on
ANALYZE.

Also, in light of most users wanting data to be anonymous, such a field might
not be well used.
