RE: CMTK on Windows 7
Hi Michael -

It's a bit unclear from your description what might be the reason for your problems. Here are a few questions.

- Did you run the same version of CMTK on both your Win7 machines? Which version(s)? (I am assuming you are using packages downloaded from NITRC?)

- Can you run the same processing on the same data on the other machine and see if it might be the specific data that's causing the crash?

- The error message suggests that the reformatting tool crashed, but you said, "registration"?

- Are you seeing problems with any other CMTK tools or just one?

- Are you running the Windows native version of CMTK, or the Cygwin build?

- If it is the native build, do you have Visual Studio installed on one machine but not the other? Different versions perhaps?

By the way, assuming it's the native build you are having trouble with, a slightly inconvenient but otherwise beneficial way to run CMTK on Windows is via Cygwin. That has the added benefit of being a whole lot more parallelized, because Visual Studio Express, which is what I am using, does not support OpenMP. So a number of parallel algorithms will only run sequentially (single CPU) in the native Windows build.

Best,
  Torsten
