I checked the stderr info, and it seems you cannot find several standard qtfiles when you built Vaa3D.

I suspect you did not build Qt from source code. Instead, did you simply install precompiled Qt SDK?

Building Qt from src is easy on Mac and Unix/Linux.

I am attaching the stderr output form the build. Actually, it is the complete terminal record of my session, except that teh stdout was redirected to a log file, which is quite large. The errors went  to the term window, and that si what is attached.

Interestingly, this all started because I need to use the bioformats plugin to read my files. This did not come setandard with the vaa3d that I downloaded , called Vaa3Dinstall_mac_snowleopard_64bit_v2707.app.zip.

However, today I stumbled across a different download link, and found V3Dinstall_maci64_v2475.app.zip,
This one has the bioformats plugin. Is this newer , or just something different? I still have not gotten it to read OIB files.

I will just add that this is the first forum I have aver tried to use (I am accustomed to listserv email lists like the confocal and imagej lists), so I apologize in advance if I am bot doing it right.
