Different detections of volumes in NIfTI file
Hi, I am currently working on a BIDS database and frequently
checking the online validator. I recently encountered an issue with
the volume detection in a diffusion acquistion: BIDS validator
detected a missing volume compared to the bval-bvec files. I
checked the volumes by opening them in Mango and indeed there
seemed to be only the B0 volume. However when I opened the volume
with ITK-SNAP, both B0 and B1000 were present. I also tried opening
the file copy on a different drive in Mango and both volumes were
identified. This lead me to wonder how NIfTI images with
multivolumes were encoded, why some software identified the
multi-channels while others didn't and why would it be different
for one drive to the next?
I would be very grateful if you could shed some light on these questions!
