Dear SDM professors:
As this article ("Ten simple rules for neuroimaging meta-analysis") says,'For ES-SDM, a previous simulation showed that an uncorrected threshold of p=0.005 with a cluster extent of 10 voxels and SDM-Z>1 adequately controlled the probability of detecting an effect by chance'. Sadly, I don't find way to set SDM-Z threshold. Only Probability and Extent threshold are showed in the threshold window. Could you help me?
Another problem is that there are significant results in MyTest_z_uncorreted_p_0.005_10.htm, while none result in MyTest_z_tfceCorrected_p_0.05000_10.htm. How do I explan that.
best,
LVXY
Dear LVXY,
You cannot set a threshold for the SDM-Z, but you can observe in the results the Z values for the obtained clusters (usually are >1), but if you get a cluster with a smaller values, you should just remove it for the reported results.
For your second question, it is normal what you are getting. MyTest_z_tfceCorrected, apply a multiple comparison correction to every voxel of the map, giving results more conservative than the uncorrected value. That means that your obtained clusters are valid but did not survive after correction
