The minimum amount of data
Hello,
I wonder about how many datasets are needed in main and regression analysis in SDM at least. I have tried 4 and the software runs normally. Thank you!

RE: The minimum amount of data
Dear ,
as you checked, SDM software may work with few datasets. However, more datasets (e.g. about 10) are usually needed in a meta-analysis in order that results are powerful and robust enough. That said, less studies are needed to achieve the same statistical power if SPM maps (instead of peak coordinates and t-values) can be included. Indeed, the exact number of studies may be difficult to know a priori, as it may depend on the true effect size of the change or abnormality that you are studying, on the samples sizes and on the heterogeneity across studies.
Hope this helps,
Joaquim
