RE: How are 3D meshes and images of the MRIs taken?

Jonas,
To prevent potential misuse, I try to avoid providing too much public detail about how to reliably bulk-reconstruct faces from brain images. There is a lot of "secret sauce", but the core of the code is the isosurface() tool in Matlab, followed by plotting that surface with the Matlab internal plotting tools.

If you want to contact me via email with a more formal proposal of what type of work you're doing and why, we might be open to providing more detail or code for this.

Best regards,
Chris Schwarz
