I am following a procedure that shows me to use an svn command, but I can't get past authorization

Detailed description

A procedure has me use the following command for downloading DTIprep

svn checkout https://www.nitrc.org/svn/dtiprep/trunk DTILprep

When I do it asks for the password for jtdavis (my system password)

I enter it. then it says

Authentication realm: <https://www.nitrc.org:443> Subversion User Authentication

I enter my NITRC registered user name jtdavis2500

It asks for my password and I put in the password I used to register, and the system send a rejection:

svn: E170001: and a message about how my authorization failed.

What am I doing wrong?

This seems to be a change in the DTIprep Subversion repository permissions.  I would recommend asking the DTIprep developers via their page at https://www.nitrc.org/projects/dtiprep.&... Their forum (https://www.nitrc.org/forum/forum.php?fo...) appears well-monitored.
