Uploading Large Files to Resource using FTP

Detailed description

Hello,

I have tried following instructions from the NITRC documentation (https://www.nitrc.org/plugins/mwiki/inde...) on uploading files via SFTP to generate links which users can use to download files larger than the upload limit of 1024 MB.

I am able to connect to the FTP client using 'FileZilla' and upload files to the home/groups/neurodot folder, however when I try to use the link to access my file, it does not work. I am able to click on FTP links listed under other resources on NITRC, so I do not think it is a browser issue, rather an issue with the NITRC FTP.

I have also noticed not so many users are using the FTP service, and I was wondering if this is still active and able to be used to share files?

Best,

Emma

Hi,

Yes, the sftp service is still active, although we have dropped support for FTP.  I've just removed that from the User Guide.

The best way to link to these files is using an HTTP(S) URL, for instance https://neurodot.projects.nitrc.org/A_Ad... Files will need to go under /home/groups/neurodot/htdocs/ (A_Adult_96x92.mat is there from a previous upload, but Support_Files/ is just under /home/groups/neurodot).
