If data from this release gets use in some derivative work, how should this data source be cited? Should the NITRC project be cited? Should the various original data source providers be cited?

As the data-release is unrestricted, researchers are free to publish any portion of the dataset. We kindly request that the specific datasets included in analyses be cited appropriately. An initial publication demonstrating the feasibility of data-pooling and data exploration with the aggregate dataset is currently in submission (title: “Towards Discovery Science of Human Brain Function”)
