Segmentation error in 3D view
Hi,
I have download the latest v3d linux (redhat) version of v3d and try to display my data in 3D viewer.
I need to make it clear that I use v3d by remotely controlling my office desktop (window) and then telneting to the linux server through ssh. It's a little bit complex. Then after I have loaded the data and tried to show in 3d viewer, v3d crashed and reported the segmentation error. (see below)
I believe that v3d will not have that problem in the local machine. I guess it is because of the network latency. Could any guy give the help? Thanks.

RE: Segmentation error in 3D view
On our machines we did many tests, and found that the problem was
an XIOerror. This was related to both the network speed and the
size of the image (and of course the faster network can transfer
larger trunk of data!).
Indeed, we did not experience any problem when we ran across X11 over a network within the office, but on multiple machines. e.g. using a Mac Desktop to ssh a Linux box, or using a Linux to ssh another Linux box.
But for a slow network we found that if the image data is small, we did not have a problem. When the image was large, there was an XIOerror which caused the segmentation fault.
