For twotensor data (from modelfit) I am indeed getting 17*8*N bytes in the tensor file, but that wasn't what I was having problems with.

The output I get from multitenfit is what i causing trouble. That file, coincidentally is exactly (down to the last byte) HALF the size ot the twotensor file, i.e., 8.5*8*N, which is a bit odd isn't it?
