Hi, you could use AFNI's 3dZcutup to remove slices and 3dZcat to
add slices in the Z direction.
You can also use the afni tool 3daxialize so that you can cut in other directions but you have to be careful to make sure that the orientation is the same when converting back to the original direciton.
