RE: PPMI images converted as split volumes
Can you upgrade from v1.0.20200331 to the latest stable release (v1.0.20201102)? Alternatively, try the latest development build, which you can
get from the Github AppVeyor link for Windows or build yourself
with Linux:
git clone --branch development https://github.com/rordenlab/dcm2niix.gi...
cd dcm2niix/console
make
./dcm2niix
Chris Rorden's dcm2niiX version v1.0.20210129 Clang12.0.0 ARM (64-bit MacOS)
My guess is that these troublesome images were acquired with ZIP2 interpolation. In future, I would discourage use of acquisition-side interpolation is at all possible. It does not add information and indeed will make some corrections impossible.
