SciCodes 2025 symposium Posted By: David Kennedy - Jan 31, 2025Tool/Resource: NITRC Community SciCodes is holding a half-day symposium (https://scicodes.github.io/workshop-2025) on April 9, 2025 to invite the research software engineering (RSEng), funder, and science communities to reflect on long term visions and aspirations for research software and computational science. This symposium will provide concrete guidance on development priorities for science gateways and research software registries and repositories; it will also help guide the work that SciCodes participants do in a follow-up workshop. The symposium will be held in Washington DC (limit of 50 in-person attendees) and also remotely via Zoom, and include a keynote address by Katherine Skinner (https://investinopen.org/about/team/kath...) from IOI (https://investinopen.org/), a panel discussion including panelists Daniel Katz (https://danielskatz.org/) (NCSA, UIllinois-Urbana) and Hervé Ménager (https://research.pasteur.fr/en/member/he...) (Institut Pasteur), and facilitated open discussion with all attendees, both in-person and remote. If you would like to participate in this symposium and lend your voice to the discussion on improving the research software ecosystem, please fill out this registration form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQ...). If you know of others who may be interested in this event, please share this information with them. Thank you! |
