How do you update the default Matlab libtiff library file?
I am confused on how to "disable the default libtiff in Matlab and
make it point to the good libtiff of the correct version",
according to the Matlab IO page from the Vaa3d website.

I will be glad to help you till to solve this problem, I think the sentence means that rebuild new libtiff library file instead of the default libtiff file in Matlab. Did your problem is how to rebuild libtiff? And What version did you use Vaa3D now?
