Extracting VOI for multiple sessions
Dear Dr. Mclaren,

Thank you so much for sharing the toolbox. I was wondering whether you might be able to help with with a couple of questions below:

Q1: To run the version using VOI.mat file, the tutorial shows only one VOI in the P.VOI field presumably because there is only one single session. In my dataset, I have 5 sessions. Since I have to extract VOI data for each session separately, could you please let me know where I enter the 5 VOI .mat files?

Q2: Previously, I used spherical VOI so I ran the gPPI (create sphere) version. This required only giving gPPI the coordinates and diameter, which was very convenient. Now I would like to try individually defined clusters. Is there anyway I can feed the mask to gPPI instead of extracting the VOI data elsewhere then provide gPPI with the .mat files?

Thank you for your time!

Best,

Alex

Extracting VOI for multiple sessions
Q1: To run the version using VOI.mat file, the tutorial shows only one VOI
in the P.VOI field presumably because there is only one single session. In
my dataset, I have 5 sessions. Since I have to extract VOI data for each
session separately, could you please let me know where I enter the 5 VOI
.mat files?

R1: I would avoid using 5 separate VOI files. The program only uses the VOI
files to identify voxels for data extraction. I don't think it would be
wise to extract from different voxels in different sessions. Thus, a single
VOI should be sufficient.

Q2: Previously, I used spherical VOI so I ran the gPPI (create sphere)
version. This required only giving gPPI the coordinates and diameter, which
was very convenient. Now I would like to try individually defined clusters.
Is there anyway I can feed the mask to gPPI instead of extracting the VOI
data elsewhere then provide gPPI with the .mat files?

R2: You can feed in nifti images. The image should be all 0s except for the
voxels you want to extract data.

Hope this helps.
