I have three very basic questions:

1) I have an event related design with fixation periods between trials. Other than modeling the different events, is it the best procedure to model these "resting" fixation periods? (In the normal first level GLM I don't model these periods and they account as baseline)

2) The same question for a block design with task-rest-task-rest blocks: should one only model the task or both task and rest?

3) Unrelated to the previous questions: the values in the beta images for the interaction term that results after running PPPI at the individual first level of the analysis, should be interpreted as the interaction betas (Bi in the equation 2 of the paper McLaren et al., 2012)? Is it the same than the change in slope due to the condition?
