curve tracing parameters
Are the parameters in the "curve tracing parameters" window
defined/explained somewhere? In addition to down sampling the
image, are there ways to speed up the process of automatic tracing
between two points?

RE: curve tracing parameters
The parameters normally do not need change. You can find some
explanation in the V3D's short user guide:
http://penglab.janelia.org/proj/v3d/V3D/... in the section "
How to trace, visualize, measure, and compare neurons? ".
and more details in
http://penglab.janelia.org/proj/v3d/v3dn...
You can sue several ways to speed up the tracing, e.g. subvolume cuts, local 3d viewer, changing the parameters in the tracing dialog, etc.
