I work in a core facility (http://www.igb.illinois.edu/core)at the University of Illinois and am considering setting V3D up as a tool for our users. Is anyone else using V3D this way?

In my opinion one of the strengths of V3D is the ability to write plug-ins using the image tool kit. Is anyone outside of Janelia farms writing plugins?

I am using V3D with a 1000 layer 1,412KB/layer tiff images and the region growing plug-in seams to crash in the window install that I am using. Should I expect this to work?
