From a rational perspective, I think the improvements made with
Apache 2.0 over BSD/MIT as adopted by the ITK folks are intuitive.

However, it would be useful to get some feedback from any lawyers on the forum. Especially as to how these licenses traverse geographical boundaries within and across countries.
