To obtain the task connectivity matrix for conditions I have used gPPI. In the first level correlation(bivariate) or regression(bivariate) should be used?

Either one is perfectly fine (the default is correlation, just to bring the interpretation of the gPPI results closer to the default settings in SBC or RRC analyses, but using regression cofficients instead is also perfectly valid)
