correlation coefficient v.s effect size
Hello CONN experts,
I'm conducting a resting-state analysis using conn recently. here are some questions about results interpretation:
1. In the Setup-ROI, I had selected normalized CSF and WM as Regress-out covariates. When I preview first-level analysis results in the right panel, I found that there're some clusters located at ventricles (i.e. CSF regions) when threshold was set to 0.25. Does the threshold here represent correlation coefficient(which is between -1 and 1)? And is there any solution to the CSF clusters problems?
2. In second-level ROI-to-ROI analysis, the significant connections between selected source(gray ball) and ROIs(red balls, blue balls) will be shown in the right panel. If I click on one ROI, there would be a color-bar showing it's effect size which represents the connectivity strength. I'm wondering if the value of effect size is Fisher-z-transformed correlation coefficient?

Thanks!
