RE: dynamic functional connectivity: contrast specification
Dear Noelia,

You could select the conditions "pre - temporal variability" and "post - temporal variability" and enter a between-conditions contrast [-1 1] to perform a paired t-test comparing SD post- vs. pre- intervention.

Dear Alfonso,

First of all, thank you for the release of the new "Handbook of fcMRI methods in CONN". It´s great to have in-depth information about the preprocessing and analyses that can be run in the toolbox.
At the moment, I´m interested in the dyn-FC with a sliding window approach and ROI-to-ROI analysis with the RSNs included in CONN. I used w=100s (automatically selected in CONN) since I have a band-pass filter 0.01-0.1 Hz. The shift is 15s and I have 8 windows (145 rs scans, TR=2s) given a total of 8 conditions.
My research question is whether the variabilitity (SD) in the FC differs pre- and post-intervention between and within RSNs. For each, pre and post, I have 8 conditions corresponding to the 8 sliding windows.
How should one specify the contrast for the conditions in the second-level analyses to compare the SD from all windows in pre-intervention vs all windows in post-intervention with an ANOVA (any difference) and T-test (post > pre)?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best wishes,
Noelia
