Dear experts,

I reliase this topic has been discussed before and Alfonso included this in a blog post back on 2013 but is there any more developments or recent information that supports regression before bandpass or simultaneous denoising options.

Both are performed commonly in the literature is there any up to date guidance on when to choose one approach compared to the other or any up to date references.
