Interpreting fMRI Data: Averaging Across Subjects and Sessions

I have a question regarding the 'Number of subjects' and 'Number of sessions or runs' in the Basic section of SETUP.

I have recently conducted fMRI imaging 12 times on the same subject. Consequently, I set the Number of subjects to 1 and Number of sessions or runs to 12, and obtained the data for resultsROI_Condition001.mat.

Is this data calculated as the 'average' of the results obtained by setting Number of subjects to 12 and Number of sessions or runs to 1, namely the results from:

resultsROI_Subject001_Condition001.mat
resultsROI_Subject002_Condition001.mat
resultsROI_Subject003_Condition001.mat
resultsROI_Subject004_Condition001.mat
resultsROI_Subject005_Condition001.mat
resultsROI_Subject006_Condition001.mat
resultsROI_Subject007_Condition001.mat
resultsROI_Subject008_Condition001.mat
resultsROI_Subject009_Condition001.mat
resultsROI_Subject010_Condition001.mat
resultsROI_Subject011_Condition001.mat
resultsROI_Subject012_Condition001.mat

I would appreciate it if you could explain how this integrated data (resultsROI_Condition001.mat) is derived.

Thank you.
