Denoising: Task confound regressors and threshold for BOLD % variance by (preview brain)

Hi all,

I have a few questions about the Denoising Tab:

  1. Confound regressors:

    • What exactly are the confound regressors in CONN?

    • In the list of confounds, I also see the effects of tasks:

      • Effect of condition A (2P)

      • Effect of condition B (2P) ...

    • Do I need to include the effects of task conditions, or should I delete them? In a different program, I run regressions without task effects, since those are the conditions of interest.

    • What does the number in brackets (e.g. ā€œ2Pā€) mean?

  2. "BOLD % variance explained by" (with preview brain image):

    • Under the preview brain, there is a threshold. In a CONN tutorial, "0.25" was used. What does this value mean, and what threshold is typically chosen?

Thanks in advance!
