Dear John,
I got the following error message, although I ran fink
selfupdate.
WARNING: unable to determine last selfupdate time. You should run
'fink
selfupdate' to get the latest package descriptions.
Failed: no package found for specification 'gedit'!
So then, I have tried the following way in order to install
glib glib2.
I downloaded got glib.info and glib2.info from fink homepage,
placed them into sw/fink/dists/local/main/finkinfo, and ran the
command.
Yet, failed. I got the error message as below.
Failed: Cannot read PatchFile
"/sw/fink/dists/local/main/finkinfo/glib.patch"
If you could tell what to do, I really appreciate.
Or, as you have suggested, I may try to use dpkg, or downgrade os
to 10.6 if there are no better solutions yet.
Thank you so much for your help.
