it looks like fink just isn't working appropriately. I'm not super
savvy with it, so my only advice is to go back to 10.6 where fink is a
bit more behaved, or try the dpkg route described on the fink
homepage. Someone on the fink mailing list may be able to help you get
dpk working, which may be less of a headache than reverting back to
10.6.
