How are we quantifying within-network connectivity via ICA
Dear all,
More of a conceptual question which I have been unable to figure out an answer for. If I want to assess within-network connectivity differences in RS networks between 2 groups, I use can use ICA to separate the networks, and then use spatial properties to assess group differences. Then, for example, I could see that group 1 has lower within-network connectivity with a certain brain area than group 2.

However to me it is not clear how this is calculated. This is lower connectivity between this brain area and the entire network? How is this quantified?
Thank you for your help!
