Group comparison Contrasts
Dear all,

In my study i use 2 groups of subjects ( 25 healthy (HC) and 25 patients with vestibular failure (VF)  . The two contrasts that i have used for studying group comparisons are 1. HC > VF and 2. HC < VF  with seed values in Hippocampus, I have performed seed to voxel analysis approach and for the contrast HC < VF i have noticed 2 significant clusters in the region of insula and Superior parietal lobule ( see the attachment ).

Does this mean that average connectivity is higher in Vestibular patients compared to healthy controls ? ( since my results are for contrast HC < VF ).

If so, Does this mean connectivity to voxels in insula and superior parietal lobule is positive in both HC group and VF group and VF ( Vestibular failure ) group has higher average positive connectivity compared to Healthy controls ?

or  HC is negative and VF positive

How to check whether connectivity network is positive or negative

Thanks
Vasudev
