Hi Jeremy,
sure, that is a very common routine: ssh to a node within your cluster, start matlab in "terminal" mode (e.g. matlab -nodisplay -nodesktop), then from Matlab run some batch command to have CONN submit some jobs to other nodes in the cluster, then leave and come back later when things have finished. Check the cluster documentation to make sure that CONN is ready/able to submit jobs within your cluster (and/or let me know the details of your cluster if unsure)
