RE: Can ROIs in the default CONN atlas be divided along the long axis?
Hi Luis,
That's a very good suggestion. I have added a function conn_createsubroi to the development version (you can download that from https://web.conn-toolbox.org/resources/s... or directly from github.com/alfnie/conn) that allows you to subdivide a mask into smaller segments along a spatial axis. To use that, for example, to break the left precentral area in CONN's atlas into five segments along the x- direction, you would use the syntax:
conn_createsubroi('/software/conn/rois/atlas.nii', 'newLeftPreCentral.nii', 5, [1 0 0], 14);
(note: 14 is the index to the left-precentral area within the original atlas file; see atlas.txt for details)
Hope this helps
Alfonso

Hi Alfonso,
I am interested in dividing the precentral and postcentral gyri ROI in the default atlas into 5 divisions along the long axis. I was wondering if there is an easy to accomplish this.
I am hoping to accomplish something similar to the result from the fressurfer function "mris_divide_parcellation" (https://surfer.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/fswik...).
Best,
Luis Alvarado
