I managed to import things with a lot of manual file selections through the SPM gui - something that would help is the ability to specify a path when selecting the BIDS (one file per session) events.tsv import option rather than the completely automated solution now which fails if the derivatives folder is not a subfolder of the BIDS root folder, but a separate root folder, as in my case. The same could help for easier import of noise regressors from the desc_confounds.tsv file generated by fmriprep.
