I am new to the image world and am trying to look/download and analyze various imaging information that I have.  They are .nii files, and believe they are nifti files. 
I am using a PC and NOT a mac.  Is there a way to get these programs onto a PC?  I have been able to "kind of" get FSL on my pc using a vmplayer and opening in a virtual machine. 
 
I am just getting very frustrated as it has slowed down the computer and can not get it to work.
 
Any idea how to do this, or should I just ditch it and utilize a mac.  I have a mac available, but would prefer to use a PC.
