Dear Ramesh,
Sorry for any confusion, but I only intended that you use the manual
to learn about the SPM interface in general, and the rendering aspects
in particular, not that you try to reproduce the fMRI procedures for
your VBM data. The VBM8 toolbox does the spatial normalisation for
you, so don't worry about this aspect.
