RE: Negative Connectivity
Hi Kaitlin,

You would need to first create a mask containing your "negative-connectivity" areas of interest. You can do so, for example, in CONN seed-to-voxel results using the 'export mask' button. Once you do this and have a mask of the desired 'negative-conenctivity' areas, in SPM you can run your desired "flexible factorial" model, and when exploring the results (select 'Results' in SPM, then select the contrast of interest, e.g. effect of time) select the 'Image' option in the 'Apply masking?' prompt and enter there the filename.Mask.img file created in the previous step to explore the desired contrast (e.g. effect of time) limited only to the negative-connectivity areas.

Hope this helps
Alfonso

Thanks for the helpful response! I am a little confused about how to actually examine the negative connectivity. In particular, I'm interested in how to carry this out using SPM8. So if I have all of the fisher-transformed correlation values for each subject/condition/seed combination from the values in "conn_*/results/firstlevel/BETA_Subject#_Condition#_Source#.img", and enter these into a flexible factorial model in SPM8, how do I examine whether there are significant changes in negative connectivity between sessions (significant effect of time)?

Thanks for your help!
Kaitlin
